Hi, I am Saint Kateri. I am the first Native American woman to be declared a saint. I was introduced to Jesus by missionaries. During my life, my face was scarred and I was almost blinded by smallpox. My name means,”she who bumps into things!” Instead of getting married, I dedicated my entire life to Jesus. When I died, my scarred face was miraculously made beautiful again – just like baptism makes our souls beautiful.
