This Sunday, depending on where you live, you may hear the readings from the Feast of the Ascension or the Seventh Sunday of Easter. Here are reflections for both!

The Feast of the Ascension

Jesus Tells His Disciples to Spread the Gospel.

Gospel for the Seventh Sunday of Easter

Jesus speaks to God the Father at the Last Supper.

Gospel Reflection for The Feast of the Ascension

In today’s gospel, Jesus and His disciples are gathered on a mountain. He tells them that they have a job to do. They learned so much from Jesus while He was with them, and now it is time for them to tell others what they learned.

Like the disciples, we have the gift of faith, but now we need to share it with others. We can do this by telling others about Jesus, but also by living the way that Jesus wants us to live.

When we listen to Jesus’ commandments and teaching, the whole world will be able to see Jesus in us. We can take our love and faith in Jesus, and share it with others.

Gospel Reflection for The Seventh Sunday of Easter

In the gospel, we hear Jesus’ words from the Last Supper as He speaks to God, His Father. Jesus loved us so much, He came into the world to save us from our sins by dying on the Cross.

Jesus wanted the whole world to know Him and love Him. He died so that we would all be able to live with Him one day in Heaven.

Love is really special, but sometimes, it can be painful. Jesus showed us how much he loved us by dying for us.

We can show Jesus we love Him by offering him our sacrifices and other small acts of love.

We are God’s children, and He will always love us and take care of us.
